Xena is being rehomed not because she is unwanted but because her current family has reached a point where they can no longer provide her with the time, stability and daily care she truly deserves. Due to unexpected changes in their life situation including increased work commitments and personal responsibilities they have had to make one of the most difficult decisions a dog owner can face. Despite their deep love for Xena they recognize that she thrives best in an environment where she can receive consistent attention, structured exercise and the companionship she naturally craves as a German Shepherd. After careful thought and many emotional discussions they have chosen adoption as the most responsible and loving option for her future. Their hope is not to let her go but to give her more time, more care,more activity and a home where she will continue to flourish as the intelligent,loyal and affectionate companion she is.

She needs a stable and loving home where she will be treated as part of the family not just a pet. A home where she is included in daily life and not left alone for long hours as she enjoys companionship and can become anxious without it.Xena needs an active lifestyle with regular walks, playtime and mental stimulation. German Shepherds are intelligent working dogs so she will flourish in an environment where she is challenged,engaged and given purpose.
